Cori Lee Marvin is an artist and illustrator living in Port Hope, Ontario. Using watercolour she creates vibrant, detailed paintings
ranging from whimsical animal illustration to beautiful, contemplative still-life. Her technique is quite unique with crisp, clean
images and deep, saturated colours that give her paintings amazing clarity and depth.

In 2010, Cori is delighted to be showing a new crop of paintings in her on-going series of unique watercolour still-life. The objects and
settings for this series have a rich history plucked from the farmstead and outbuildings of the family's hundred-year-old rural property in
the rolling hills of Northumberland County. The subjects of these watercolours tell stories of care in craftsmanship rarely encoutered in
today's industrially manufactured goods. Time, weather and years of use are reflected in these pieces. While the artist insists on simplicity
of form and composition, the paintings' complexity of colour, light and texture provide a rich visual balance.
